My name is Shawn Boulet and I'm a Toronto based sound designer and composer whose atmospheric sound has been featured in video games, film, and live theatre. I have a love for all things horror, video games, and movies, and I look forward to lending my passion for sound synthesis and music composition to many new and creative projects to come.
SOUND DESIGN
With an emphasis on horror sound design and sound effect recording and synthesis, I love exploring how familiar sounds can be transformed into something new, and in what ways music can be used to evoke real world environments.
COMPOSITION
Pulling inspiration from as many disciplines and genres as I can, I begin each new work at the piano and see where each project takes me. I love creating new music for theatre, dance, and video games, or any medium that has an interactive element.
PIANO
I first began studying the piano at age 12 and immediately fell in love with studying the instrument as well as the art of performance. I've since enjoyed a varied performing career that has enabled me to both perform classical repertoire and hone my skills as a contemporary composer and improviser.
